USC Sea Grant

USC Sea Grant is....

USC Sea Grant supports research and carries out programs of education, communication, and extension that contribute to the rational use and conservation of marine and coastal resources. Sea Grant responds to the needs of ocean users and works to enhance both the environment and the economy of the state, region, and nation.

USC Sea Grant is one of a national network of 30 Sea Grant Programs. Administered by University of Southern California, USC Sea Grant is a statewide program that actively solicits and supports projects at any institution of higher education in California.

The "grant" to USC Sea Grant comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is matched by non-federal funding.
